What a cheery Sunday.

Here is the saddest video in conjunction with saddest song i have ever heard.

Basically, it shows a beautiful school child whose mother has collapsed in a drunken heap only for the schoolgirl to muck on through herself, quite independently.

The song is a true gem aswell. And I imagine the lowbrows on here have never heard it before.

I do not expect much comment. So when you see this question with no responses, please do not feel compelled to post for the sake of me looking like a pleb.

Enjoy (though it is not really enjoyment, as such)

Very poignant indictment of the world we live in.
The closed door at the end shows that we dont know what goes on behind them -very clever -very moving.
I have heard this before BTW Sigmund.
Very sad indeed. What's even more sad - it's reality in some neighbourhoods. I'm wondering if the poster of this video experienced or is going through such a situation. It breaks my heart to see kids suffer hardship. Thanks for sharing this.
Hi Wardy & happy new year to you all.

Yes, it's a vey sad situation for this young girl to be in & I bet she doesn't tell anyone of her plight.

Unfortunately, there are many more families like hers out there, but in some cases, help comes too late.
Yes, so poignant. I'm a big fan of Stina Nordenstam.
its sad, but I think its more common than people would want to imagine...
I was it the local supermarket and the 10 year old in the queque said to his friend " It's Xmas my Mum will get drunk and be sick all the time " Think that says it all !!!

Not heard this before but together with the video its very moving. I can certainly identify with it in a sadder period of my childhood and know its still very relevant in life today, I work with children who have been in similar situations. Thanks for showing us it Bewlay
