Dominican Republic 2008
I'm thinking of booking a few weeks in the Dominican Republic in April 2008 and wondered what the weather was like at this time of year .I'm aware that a rainy season exists at this time of year in this area ,but was'nt sure if it would keep us off our sun beds for to long .Also i understand that its quite often safer to stay within a complex ,am i right ? .
Can anyone suggest the right area/s to stay .
Any info would be appreciated .
Regards Ray

Note that Santo Domingo is on the south coast. The north coast has almost twice as much rain throughout the year.
Look for a resort complex which provides all you could want but which also offers organised excursions. That way you'll see some of the island but you'll avoid any unsafe areas.
