has anyone had experience of this airline? All I want is some idea of the price of a flight from brum to dalaman in may or june, but it seems that no matter what date I insert on the website, they all come up as unavailable, surely not all the flights are booked already? let me know if you've had any problems (or luck!) with them, ta

There may be a problem in operating that route (e.g. Thomsonfly might be waiting to confirm an aircraft leasing agreement before accepting bookings for flights using such aircraft). Phone 0870 1900 737 for definitive information.
Thomas Cook fly the route on Mondays. The outbound flight takes off at 0700, landing at 1305. The return flight leaves at 1405, landing at 1625. Typical fares (for the sample dates I've looked at in May) are in the range 274 to 309, including taxes.
If you don't mind night flights, Thomas Cook also operate on Fridays. Outbound at 2015 (arriving 0220 Saturday) and return at 0320 (arriving 0540). Typical fares are around 239 to 249.

Only used Thomsonfly once, for a flight to Barcelona, and it was a good experience. I'd suggest you try flights from Coventry rather than BHX (I only live 10 mins from BHX, and normally wouldn't fly from anywhere else, but at the time the flight to Barcelona was only available from Coventry - BMI Baby now fly there from BHX).
Depending where in the West Midlands connurbation you are, the extra distance to Bagington ranges from a bit of a nuisance to negligible. Parking there is basic but cheap. When Coventry began to handle passenger flights rather than being freight only a couiple of years back, it was Thomsonfly exclusively. I don't know whether it still is, but it might just solve your problem.

Sorry, but there's no point checking Coventry for flights to Dalaman. Only Thomsonfly and Wizz currently operate scheduled flights from Coventry. Neither fly from there to Dalaman.
I've already covered all of the possibilities from Birmingham. The airport website lists Thomsonfly, MyTravel, XL and Thomas Cook as operating to Dalaman but the MyTravel flight finder takes you to the Thomas Cook page and the XL website shows that XL aren't currently offering any flights on the route. (You might come across flights, from Birmingham to Dalaman, advertised by travel companies such as Avro and Cosmos but these are simply the Thomas Cook flights under a different name).
If you're considering other departure airports, these operators fly from Manchester to Dalaman:

I've just done an availabilty check on the Thomsonfly website for a flight to Dalaman from BHX on May 6 and it offered me 2 seats at 360.15 plus taxes & charges on May 8. Doesn't seem particularly cheap, but the flight does come up as available. I tried a couple more dates and they showed as available too - the best offer of the dates I tried was 12 June at 210.15 plus taxes.
I must say these fares seem a bit steep to me for an outfit that calls itself a "low fares airline".

sorry haven't been back on to thank you all for your replies, a big thankyou now though! buenchico - yeah found that they only do thursdays, and none come up available, narolines, have to agree that the "budget" flights seem rather pricy, was trying to do an independant holiday, went abroad last year for the 1st time in 17years (sad eh, but 3 kids+limited budget=camping in britain!) booked independently, flights, apartment, transfers, to Portugal, went like a dream, was really pleased with myself, wanted to do the same this year for Turkey, but just had a look a package deals, and they come out only marginally dearer than the flights! guess we'll be joining the thomson holiday hordes!
