sorry I did not get back to you - as I slept in. Anyway probably not serious to you but upsetting to me.

I am a lady (met a gentleman whom I knew from playing in the clubs years ago) First thing when he saw me - he said "boy have you put on the weight" - met me again as supermarket was empty "come here - did you ever marry" - told him no - he said "you were a lovely looking girl - you must have been hard to please" - met him again (couldnt believe this) - asked me what I was doing in the Supermarket Sainsburys (expensive!!) - he said you must have plenty of money to which I replied "oh yes loads of it which I spend on heat and food to which he replied "aye and you look it" - 3 insults in 5 mins. When I left supermarket I was quite tearful as I do suffer from depression. I phoned my friends who know this guy and they said he was an ignoramus but the insults cut through me. Just wanted to let you know - nobody needs to be told that they have put on weight one knows that themselves.

Dont get upset by this weasel homerbart, I find it amazing how people expect you not to change in some way over the years, most people put on weight over the years, lose teeth, hair ect.

Maybe he has "issues" himself or maybe he isnt very good at being sociable, either way, regard him as a plank and dont give him the time of day.

I thought it was good of you not too highlight his own shortcomings....

hi homerbart. This man seems like a real charmer! had he got nothing better to say than insults? ignoramus, your friends were right about that.

Don't let his stupid insensitive remarks get to you. People often say things without thinking. If I had a pound for everytime my mother has said to me, "you are looking better today" (even when I was not looking bad before) well I thought! I would be worth a bob or two.

A woman at work said to me the other day "oh, have you got make up on today?" I said, yes always wear make up, she replied, "oh, well you have a bit of a glow today"

for cazzzz1975 - yes you were right in that I did not point his own shortcomings as he too was very very very fat years ago and because he had a heart bypass last year has lost some weight but is still hefty. Wish I had said to him
"When was the last time you looked in a mirror"

Sorry Doc - I meant that I bet he fancys Homerbart, not you! Not that I am sure that Homerbart really wants this moron fancying her, but I think that it might help to see that he is an ignorant moron and that his attempt at chat up was misplaced and rude, and not a reflection on reality. He still thinks that you are too good for him. And I bet you are.

thanks for that Annie 00000 - I always thought that too - sorry for being vain. But my friends always told me that he would have (in his day) chased his granny so maybe he did fancy me though I never realised it. Apologies for being vain
