Spit or swallow??

Is it bad for you to swallow chewing gum?? does it wrap round yer pipes like granny said?? do you spit or swallow??

lol, spit defo, it wraps round your intestines and makes them expand with the gas and eventually they blow out of your rearend

I tell my seven year old it will wrap around his stomach but the kids in his class think it wraps around your heart so he perfers to think this! I dont think that it would do you much harm if you didnt swallow loads

Neither, I hate the stuff and its one of the things that others do that annoy the hell out of me......... sit there chewing it with their mouths open making that horrible slapping noise!

I twirl it round my fingers much to everyones annoyance -chew it take it out lash it anywhere to be picked up again -usually unfortunately by someones jacket or bag.

I am however usually a swallower -usuallt after reading something on here choke and then its gone -lol

Pippa is right, its a myth that they wrap round anything, and they dont take years to digest either.
You simply pass it in your poo, just like you would sweetcorn =]

The thread title nearly made me pass it by thinking it was something completely different .....well my mum too always told us never to swallow chewing gum or it would get stuck around your intestines ..........what? lol
