Normally it takes about five cups of coffee to have this effect- does anyone know what's so special about Lucozade- or does anyone else get this hyperness?

Lucozades main ingredient is glucose which makes people feel more energetic. It the glucose making you hyper.

Glucose = energy, hence the hyperness.

Original Lucozade also contains one of the worst food colourings, reportedly resonsible for hyperactive behaviour etc in children.

Steer clear of Lucozade.  It's just glucose and water.  Just taking a spoonful of sugar will give the same effect.
