Taking into account the political knowledge and lucrative connections that Blair has accumulated during his term of office as the Prime Minister of Great Britain, should he be allowed to take up this particular position?
Or could he be leaving himself open to even more accusations of sleaze?
they think he'll be able to offer insights into world affairs. They're quite likely right. How much they pay him is their business. Do you feel former prime ministers should all enter monasteries for the rest of their lives? (Or nunneries where appropriate.) That would be rather a waste of their abilities.
