his side hurts maybe constipation

Hi there, my partner seems to have a pain on his right or left side of his body, it comes or goes, the doctors did prescribe anti flammoritys and that was it, the pain went away but its come back, could it be due to taking too much pain relief due to recent surgery, i am really worried, i have tried deep heat and even buying windeze, if u have any advice please give me some thanks!

Depends what operation he has had, a pain that moves from side to side could be appendicitis.

If it is constipation, try drinking plenty of fluid and use a gentle fibre laxative .If he's not eating a lot, try some prune juice, this should encourage him to go again. After surgery and whilst on pain killers constipation is very common.
I would keep an eye on the pain but also look out for fever, raised temperature etc, just in case it's an infection.
If you are really worried, get him back to the doctor.
I had a similar problem when I had my appendix removed, it turned out they'd severed a nerve...so keep on at them

oh lol, i am sorry he didnt have surgery on appendix he had it on his face, laser treatment to be precise, but he has been taking painkillers
