I'm educated to A level but not to a Degree level. I dearly wish to change my career direction to being a Primary school teacher but being a family man with kids and bills a 3year uni course is not really an option. Does anyone have any experience or advise on how to speed up the process. Thank you for your time.
It may not be speedier, but getting a job as a teaching assistant in a primary school and generally making yourself indispensible will be a way of learning on the job and being paid at same time. Primary schools tend to value TA's and CA's highly and many progress on to become qualified teachers. Go for it.
You can't gain Qualified Teacher Status without a degree, so it's going to be a long haul. However, there are now some possible routes which might suit you. If you check this website, you'll learn about all of the possible routes into teaching: http://www.tda.gov.uk/Recruit.aspx
actually teag1rl, slight misspellings are probably the least concern, I work as a teaching assistant and know a fair number of teachers with dyslexia so misspelling one word on an internet site probably doesn't matter too much!
