Hi cuzzy , do you know yet if it will be removed by the traditional incision route , or by key-hole surgery ? Your recovery period will be different with each :-) xx
Hi cuzzy, i had my Gall Bladder out when i was 21yrs old, that was back in 1981, i had to have surgery as in a large cut down my tummy.
I was in hospital 2 week's, but it is a LOT!!! different now and the procedure is much better, they do a lot of operations by keyhole surgery, i'm sure your G.P. will put your mind at rest if you just pop along to see him/her, you will be OKay, medicine is far more advanced now, don't worry, love and best wishes, megan. xxxx
Hi cuzzy. I had mine removed by keyhole surgery about 6 years ago and spent 1 night in hospital after the op. I was told to take things easy for about 3 weeks as there was internal healing needed. It was uncomfortable at times but not painful. Nothing could be as bad as the attacks of biliary colic!
