I have been in Liverpool (city centre) a few times over the last 2 years and it is a great place. There does seem to be a great deal of regeneration and I enjoy staying there.

Glasgow was the City of Culture in 1988 and is still a fantastic place to vistt.

Some people have mentioned crime and cited recent murders in this thread which is sadly an awful indictment of our society in our major cities.

On a lighter note...............the MTV music awards is a major coup for the city.
