When we got our computer I downloaded an mp3 program and put my cds onto the hard drive. I then bought a sony mp3 player and had to use the software with it to load all the albums on again as the original ones I put on wouldn't load properly onto the mp3 player as all the bit rates got messed up. Anyway the problem is that now I've got loads of albums loaded onto the computer twice and obviously this is taking up more room on the hard drive than needs be. How do I get a list of all the albums on my computer so that I can look through them and delete the first batch that I put on. Thanks for any advice.

Go to Start > Search and run a search for *.mp3
That will show all files in the mp3 format and tell you where they are.

Thanks but how do you get them as albums in folders rather than just single files for each song?
There is a free bit of software called Winmerge which you can use to identify files found in two places and merge the folders see: http://winmerge.org/ it might help!
