He's here!!!
Hello,
just to let you know I gave birth Monday Morning at 2:01am to a 9lb 2oz baby boy!
I went into hospital on Wednesday because I was spotting.
Thursday I found out I was 2cm dialated.
Friday went into labour and was promised to get my waters broken if i reached 3cm at 4:30pm on my own, but labour ward was too busy to have me.
Saturday I was given the internal tablet (still at 2cm) and promised to have my waters broken at 4pm (labour ward too busy again)
So, Sunday morning came and went and at 4:20pm 06.01.08 my waters were broken and my contractions came thick and fast!!
I started with TENS, then gas and air, went on to diamorphine, at 7pm I was put on the drip as I wasn't dialating as they had hoped, 8pm I was screaming for an epidural and on the 3rd go it worked. I was fully dialated by 12am and at 1am started to push. They had pre-warned me that if I couldn't push him out in just over an hour I would have to go to theatre to get help with forceps, I had a sister and a midwife in with me at all times.
I ad an episiotomy and I ripped a bit, I have quite a bit of stitches underneath at mo!
But, at last at 2:01 Teio Sin was born onto my belly weighing 9lb 2oz, 60 cm long!! Big boy!!!
My mum, sister and my partner were all present.
Ladies, if you can have pain relief take it, I was in so much agony before my epidural it helped to quicken my labour because I relaxed!!
All that I went through is worth it when I look into my baby boys eyes, or see my partner with tears in his eyes because he can't get used to the fact that his baby boy is so gorgeous!!
WOOHOO!! :>)

You will have to excuse me for taking so long to answer you!! I'm finding it hard to sit down and have nothing to do with all the visitors and feeding and nappy changin to be done! We're on the chicken korma poo now by the way!!!
I don't know how to explain how to pronounce his name, I'm Welsh and was looking on the Gurgle web-site for unusual names, so we looked at Italian, Celtic a lot of others and Spanish!!
We found the name 'TEYO' and changed the spelling to Welsh.
And as John is a running name in my family, I changed that to Welsh - Sion (pronounced Sean)
I do recommend you look on the Gurgle web-site if you're stuck for names, it's quiet usefull!!
Anyways, I probably won't have much time in the next weeks, but to all of you that's due good luck and take all the pain relief you can. Why go through all that un-necessary pain????!!!
GOOD LUCK :>) XXX
