Hurricane in the caribbean

I am thinking of holidays in october half term (24oct-5nov)
i was wondering which of the caribbean islands is effected least by huricanes around the time mensioned above? any suggestions would be appreciated!

they are all potentially at risk, and October is the main month for Hurricanes I think, but i went to cancun in the october, the same week as you are planning, and we saw nothing, but 1 year later when we had planned to go for the same week , the big one hit!!! It's not a thing you can plan for really.
Hows about holidaying in Barbados its not in the hurricane belt
pretty much the whole eastern Caribbean is at risk, and as far north as Washington (in fact I think some have got as far as offshore Canada). But for any given spot to be hit is generally a once-in-100-years thing. Like Dot says, you can't plan for it and the chances that it will happen are tiny.
It's the norm for hurricanes to swing north of Tobago, missing the island completely. But you never can tell. (Note that hurricanes set up heavy sea swells that travel for hundreds of miles. These can arrive at islands that haven't been directly affected by the strong winds, upsetting plans for water activities).
