My 4 week old son is more noisy when he's asleep than when he's awake. I've just read on another forum that all this wriggling, grunting and stretching while they're asleep could be a touch of wind but he doesn't seem too bothered about it (while asleep!) it's bothering me more cos he looks like he's uncomfortable but I don't want to wake him. I'm hoping he might grow out of this?? Anyone else had the same experience???
as long as he is sleeping ok and doesnt seem as if hes lacking in sleep then why I wouldnt worry unduly. If it is affecting him day to day then perhaps speak to your GP to see if there might be a reason for his restlessness.
My son has wriggled and snuffled and snored and fidgeted since he was born. Ive never seen a newborn who can move from one end of cot to other in their sleep apart from my son.
I think these are just noises I'll have to learn to sleep through! Spoke to another new mum today who told me she thought her daughter was constantly in discomfort with the amount of noise that she was making but they seemed to get less and less the older she got, she's now just over 3 months. Fingers crossed!
