Why did America and it's dogsbodies not plant WMD's in Iraq when they realised that there were none to be found? And also, would anyone else agree with me that they will find WMD's hidden away somewhere, to be found just before Bush leaves office.

Hans Blix when he was looking for the WMD in Iraq asked the USA for the sites where they were stored. Because of intelligence and aeriel photography plus Iraqi dissidents Blix was given a list of sites. They all without exception proved to be false.

So Bush and Blair offered Saddam an ultimatum to leave Iraq. As he said no, and the troops had built up an unstopable momentum they decided to attack anyway to prevent losing face..

If WMD had been planted, they would very quickly have been discovered as fake and then the US would have looked even more stupid than they did when no weapons were found.

There would be very little point in finding WMDs six years too late. Any damage done to Bush's credibility was done long ago, a last minute find just so he could leave saying "I told you so" would be pointless.
