Mouse problem

I have got a wireless mouse and although it works well, I have one bug bear about it, namely that when you click on the left hand button to click on links or categories etc like on here, the link etc will never open on the first click, it always takes two or more clicks. Is this a problem which can be solved or just something I need to live with. I have been into Control Panel and made some adjustments on the speed of the mouse, but it hasn't helped. Anyone got any ideas please?

Get a new one, they're not dear!
