Along with many people, I have this problem. I had an angiogram a few years back & they diagnosed 'Wolf Parkinson White', which is an 'extra electrical connection' in the heart. That is the cause of my palpitations. I have been offered an op which will correct it, but I'm still undecided as it isn't too much of a problem at present. If you are concerned for yourself or someone else, I suggest you/they contact the GP.

All sorts of things.  Only a GP can help with diagnosis.

However, stress can be a major cause for this.

I'm sure you're not old enough Laura!, but if you are of menopausal age, check out http://www.healthatoz.com/healthatoz/Atoz/hc/wom/meno/palpitations.jsp

Sorry, don't know why you can't click into that!
