Hi, does anyone know if it's advisable to go to the gym when your feeling hungover? I drunk a bottle and a half of wine last night and i'm not feeling too clever. I have a spin class at 4.30pm and don't know if it'll kill me or cure me? I have a night out tonight and want to feel good for it. Cheers

I think I'll give it a miss then and go for a curer instead :-)
I would have thought that as long as you are drinking plenty of water throughout the day, as well as your spinning class, then the exercise would be good for you as it will help to sweat out the toxins and to get your liver back up and running?

I remember reading ages ago that the best thing for a hangover was a swift walk / jog first thing in the morning as it kickstarts your liver and starts cleansing your body quicker.

Certainly, I used to head for the gym first thing on a Sunday morning after a skinful the night before (I am 7months pregnant at the moment so neither drinking nor going to the gym at the mo!) and would feel fine for the rest of the day. Just ensure you are drinking enough water, as your body will already be dehydrated from the alcohol.

LOL - Charmed! :-)
3light - nobody has said that water dilutes alcohol, only that you need water rehydrate yourself.

And alcohol is a toxin, which is excreted via the skin with sweat.

LMAO @ 3light's stupid answers (again .... seems to be a pattern emerging here).

Don't know whay I'm bothering Fightball, but Natalie and myself were just putting forward our experiences-i.e feeling better after exercise than we did before, having had a skinful of beer the previous night.
Anyway-who goes on a police drink awareness course unless they're getting done for drink driving or as penance for being a f*ckwit asbo idiot caught pi55ed up in the street.....?
