All of the following are listed in Chambers Dictionary. However, I am offering only the ones that begin with the letters la...' You'll have to find the rest for yourself, though here are a few to start you off. Le' - leopard, li' - lion, lo' - loony (bird), lu' - lurcher (dog) and ly' = lynx.
Here are the "la's"...labrador (dog), labrus (fish), lacewing (insect), lacerta (lizard), lackey (moth), ladybird or ladybug or ladycow or ladyfly (beetle), laika (dog), laker (fish), lamb, lammergeier (bird), lampshell (shellfish), lampera or lamprey (fish-like creature), lampuki (fish), lancelet (sea-snake), land-crab, landrace (pig), land-rat, langaha (snake), langouste (lobster), langshan (hen), langur (monkey), lantern-fly, lap-dog, lapwing (bird), lark, larus (gull), laverock (bird).
Now, you have a go at the "le's". "li's" etc!
My apologies to earlier answerers...I haven't time to weed my list of your offerings, I'm afraid.
