On trying to post an answer I got an error page stating 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'
What kind of gobbledegook is that?
Anybody else got any examples of 'officialese' or jargon that make no sense whatsoever?
I just find jargon amusing, especially if it makes no sense to anyone outside the field.
I have found that when I post an answer on Beta and I get the error page, I just hit the back button, refresh the page and my answer is there. What a pallaver though eh?
Like so many others tonight I just can't get onto the old AB at all.
knobby how come in this thread you admit you know about the technical fault and are quite civil to other people, and yet in your own threads you post death threats to me and act like a complete arse wipe
Hi Knobby. I've only one username so if I get booted into the dungeon so be it. I shan't lose any sleep mate.
Well that's a lie actually. When I first signed up with AB I had a different username. I only signed up to get an answer to a quiz and didn't come on again for about another 6 months. During that time I had forgotten my username and password. I found them written down on an old piece of paper recently while I was having a clear out. I don't use them though.
Aprilis, when i post an answer i get a box saying Update extracted parameters and i have to click on the "update" box. Then i get the server error page. But,hey ho,my answers still appear.
