I have recently acquired a second hand electric cooker.  However I have no idea how to fit it into the 'box' in the wall.  There are three sort of 'screw holes' for each of the three wires of the cooker, but I have no idea how it works.  Does anyone know how I would do this, AND also point me in the direction of a website that can assist me with diagrams?

In all honestly, if you dont know what your doing, dont do it. Get an electrictizical person type in.
If you still want to remain a crowdpleeser, I'd leave it to the experts & if you don't want to hear it go off bang!
Mind you, it is nearly Guy Fawkes night, so no one would hear it anyway!

On a lighter note - try this, it might help:
