Hi, I am with Lloyds home + buildings insurance and have just got my quote through for renewal and its rocketed even though no claims have been made , So pc at hand I have had varius online quotes and similar cover is saving me 200+, which one would you recommend out of ; Direct line, Tesco (are they the same co?) Norwich union, and even Lloyds tsb against themselves (185 cheaper) Now I have had no probs at all with Lloyds, they paid up for something 5 years ago no quibble at all , I don't want to have any hassle if I did claim against anything but don't want to get ripped off, Anyone had any experiances with these big companys and was there any hassle involved???? ...

I found esure by far the cheapest!
I'm with zurich - they were the cheapest for me and had lots of additions included in the insurance.
Direct Line the cheapest for me

Well just thought I would close this thread off, I looked on 'tinternet and had a quote from lloyds again , the online one was 185 cheaper than the re-newal , so I saved it and rang them , they said it was a internet special price so my question was I wan tto stay with you , I am very happy with what they have done for me in the past but I want to pay the cheaper price and it was agreed they would only charge me that ,

to all those out there , Don't just take whatever they send on your re-newal , question it and see if its still comparable and competitive , the savings have paid for my car insurance in real terms and thats not to be sniffed at .
