You can buy the ordinary blenders for liquidising then you can get another one which is called a Smoothie Kenwood do one and Breville and they are for smoothies and juicing so what I want to know is what is the difference apart from the price as the smoothie makers seem to be much more expensive. Thanks for any sensible answers .
Actually, Those answers contain more than just an element of truth, Windilla.
The only difference is that smoothie makers have a tap fitted, since they'll be usually used for liquidising fruit and veg.
Blenders can be used to crush ice and nuts, or chop veg, for example, when a tap would be pretty useless. But there's absolutely no reason at all why a blender can't be used to make smoothies.
