NVQ3 childcare

Hi,

I've recently qualified in NVQ level 3 in early years education and I currently work in a preschool. However, I am no longer sure that i want to stay as the pay is low. Can anyone help me to identify any jobs with more pay where I will be able to use my new qualification? Thanks

the majority of childcare jobs are low paid! Did you not realise this before qualifying? However most people do not work with children for the money. I work in an NHS nursery and earn �7.38 ph which I don't think is bad for a nursery nurse and this goes up twice a year too. Sure Start and school nurseries tend to pay more than private nurseries or you could become a nanny. Don't know what the rate is now but back in 1996 I earnt �5ph
