having just got over my 'left sore nostril' dilemmma (incidently the best treatment in the end was vasoline can you believe?) i now seem to have developed a really big painful lumpy swelling on my innner left thigh, the area around it looks inflamed and if i can bear to feel the tender lump it feels like half a finger has been inserted under my skin. any ideas what this is all about? there is no apparent 'head' on it (i wish, at least it could be lanced) i have been started on antibiotics so far with nil effect. am i destined to be plaged with left sided problems ? im truly not a hypercondriat.

It isnt one of your glands that is swollen is it.? right in your groin.?If it is check your other glands to see if they are swollen.inner thigh groin, under arms in arm pit, either side of your neck. How long have you been on antibiotics.?

hi no its not in the groin it half way down my thigh iv been on amoxil for 3 days now tonight it looks less red and the finger size lump is not protruding out so much but seems to have tracked further around my thigh, it is so tender when i press it gently, how likely do you think that it could have resulted from one of my cats as a scratch? this has been suggested.
If I was you go into a chemist and ask a pharmacist to have a look at it other than that go back to your doctor. By now the antibiotics should be working.
