Tampons with a skirt?

Has anyone else seen these new compact tampons from tampax with a skirt?? Call me stupid, but does that have a use?
Anyone tried it yet? I'm intrigued! First they are sweets and now they're items of clothing!!!

I just saw an advert on channel 5 that showed a tampon with a dangley bit of material at the bottom, just where the string starts. I just have no idea what possible use it could have!!

I dont usually watch ads but i`ll have to look out for it,ithink you`re right about it stopping leakage(lovely word),there`s no other explanation really is there?

I know what you're saying about the leakage, but I'm thinking it might have the opposite effect and 'drip'!! We need to find someone who has tried them!

Guess that explains it eww! Doesnt sound too hygienic?!!!

I'm with freak-unique - doesn't sound too good! Anyway I won't be trying them I don't think. I only use tampons if absolutely necessary eg going swimming since one of Mr Spudqueens friends missus got toxic shock syndrome from using tampons.

Same here spudqueen,i don`t use them ,a woman who lived in my road was seriously ill with toxic shock and it put me off.
