Mr H and I went to see 'The Golden Compass' at the weekend. While there I went to the loo, while I was washing my hands FIVE different girls/women came out of the cubicles and left without washing their hands. Euww! Is this normal? 'Fess up who doesn't wash their hands?

That reminds me, when we moved her last summer and got settled in,we went to out local Indian restaurant to check it out, when the waiter was bringing us the meal Mrs 4GS noticed that his moustache had a couple of bogeys attached to it, needles to say, we left without eating or paying
I'm a smoker (I know, I know), and the outside smoking area at my local pub is quite near the gents loo. The window of the gents is usually open so you can hear people in there but only twice (and this is since the smoking ban started in July) have I heard the hand dryer being used.
It's a horrible habit not to wash your hands after visiting the loo and does make me wonder whether some of these people are working in hospitals etc or in restaurants. I've been known on occasions, having heard "plops" in a public toilet and seen the occupant try to leave without washing their hands afterwards to call out to them "You've forgotten to wash your hands" !! The last time I did that I was told to "Get stuffed." No wonder viruses and infections spread like wildfire with attitudes like this. I' wish I had the nerve to follow them out into public areas and humiliate them by calling out to everybody "This person doesn't wash their hands after using the toilet" but even I am not that brave.
I always wash my hands. If the toilets looked grotty I wouldnt use them.
I often see people not washing hands at work, or if they get shamed into it by my vigourous washing they just run their finger tips under water for a mili-second - as if that'll make a difference.

I generally don't use the loos when out, and if I do then I wash hands then anti-bacterial gel.
My husband works in hospitals and they can be disgusting especially the mental health wards - he keeps wadges of kitchen roll in his pocket that he uses to cover his hands when he opens doors! He has also seen nurses eating remnants of uneaten food from patients plates using their fingers. He wont touch anybody in the house until he has had a shower and changed his clothes. His work clothes are always washed separately on a hot wash. When he worked on wards he would eat at all for his whole shift as he felt he could never be sure that his food wouldn't be contaminated. He now carries antibac gel in his pocket.
