heart transplant
5 Answers
Hi all. I have just heard from my friend in America that her son of only 35 needs a heart transplant. This boy is the all-american boy ( fantastic worker on the construction). A father of twins. Can anybody reassure me that this problem can be sorted or what. Will he wait in America for a heart or what is the crack.

In America I would suspect that their Health Service is very different from ours in that money fundamentally doesnt talk here as far as transplants are concerned -i'm afraid that a heart could be 'bought' across there -I may be wrong and cynical but anyhow I wish him and his family all the luck in the world. Its a terrible worry so hang in there yoyrself and be there for them x
thanks everybody - just wanted to let you know that I received an email from his sister who said they are giving him medication and maybe get his own heart up to 50-60% working. Also she said he had shed 10lbs - this boy was never never never ever fat so has he gained perhaps with medication. My friend (his mother) wont speak to anybody as she has already lost a 26 year old son due to a hit an run some years ago.
