You have four of my favourite books there! A Prayer for Owen Meaney is perhaps top of my list but the others are excellent. I found Gabriel Garcia Marqez ' "Love in the Time of Cholera" an easier read than One Hundred Years of Solitude.
For an easier read you could try Zadie Smith "On Beauty",
"Shadow of the Wind" (can never remember the author!), Michael Cox "The Meaning of Night" or for something very strange try "Kafka on the Shore" by Haruki Murakami.
I've just started Susannah Clarke's "Jonathan Strange & Mr Norell" which is supposed to be very good.
