Sam - I was only discussing this subject on AB a few days back. Anaesthetic injected by needle doesn't seem to work on me, so I always have intravenous sedation when I need dental treatment. First of all, let me tell you that it's a totally painless way of being treated! The needle in the arm is hardly felt - if at all, and although it's probably not meant to knock you out totally, it always happens with me! I believe that once you're sedated, they then administer anaesthetic in the usual way in any case. You'll need someone with you after you come round, as you might feel a bit wobbly, but this soon wears off. You don't have to be frightened at all - x
dont worry preggie sam - I get sedated every time I get work done to my teeth.

The sedation is brilliant - just a tiny price in the arm then all you remember is waking up and it is all done. Brilliant - I pay for sedation all the time as I am a real coward plus I do genuinely have very sensitive teeth. You will be great believe this from the cowardy custard of all times - good luck
sorry I should have said prick in the arm
