Henri Bource, saxophonist for Melbourne rock band "The Thunderbirds" had his leg bitten off by a shark (he was also an underwater photographer). The band was formed in 1957 and played way into the 60's supporting Cliff Richard, Roy Orbison, Shadows, etc whenever they visited Australia. He had a false leg fitted and was back playing with the band within three weeks of the shark attack.
