I'm a late-comer to the Spectator crossword but find it consistently enjoyable. Lucky enough to be a runner-up within a couple of weeks of submitting entries too. Have they published the winners of the excellent Chrismas crossword anywhere?
Well done to Slaney. He deserves it for the amount of help he gives to other people.
This week's is as enjoyable as ever.
What a surprise! Thank you.
A bit of beginners luck..I only started doing these when cruciverbalist, and Kaykamina kindly started posting them a few months back..so thanks to them.

Thanks also novalis...am actually a "she" :-)
Well done Slaney- I've just read the news of your success.
You are a very worthy winner as you are a strong contributor

I was introduced to the Spectator crossword a couple of years ago by Ulysses and have been enjoying them ever since.
Greyfox. The solution (p 45) & the winners (p 49) were published in The Spectator dated 19th January.

I see that AB's MN:RUGBY (aka Mark Nichols) won one of the runner-up prizes. Well done, Mark!
Thanks kettledrum. I don't get the magazine. Could you post the full list of prize winners please?

Many thanks.
