Is it true that drivers who have less that two years
experience face an automatic ban for sepeeding first offence

If a new driver (up to 2years since passing test) gets 6 points on their licence they have to retake the driving test.

A speeding offence which is dealt with by a fixed penalty notice only incurs 3 points. However, if the matter comes before a court, up to 6 points can be imposed for a single speeding offence. See here:

As Annlinda states, acquiring 6 points within the first two years after first passing a test results in the automatic revocation of a licence. This is not the same as disqualification from driving as there is no fixed period defined by the court. Instead, the driver has to re-apply for a provisional licence and then (possibly after further instruction) re-take their test. See here:
