24year old male first time insurance

hi i am 24yo male iv always been a named driver but never had a policy of my own i was thinking its time to build up my own insurance can any 1 help or got any good insurance companys im also from northern ireland so that will make a different i think

Not sure about NI but in the UK usually insurance gets much more reasonable when you are over 25 years - check a quote with a search egine such as compare .com or moneysupermarket.com to see whether it is more competitive as a 24yr old or waiting til 25yrs. You could approach your existing company that you have been a named driver under, to see if they would give you an introductory no claims as you clearly have a clean record with them.This may not apply but If you have worked for a company (and since left)and had a company car during that period, you could ask for a company letter on their headed paper confirming your clean record for the number of years you have worked for them and drivern a company car.
