If cricket didn't exist, what would people say when someone old dies?

But cricket does exist.

Or alternatively they'd have to turn to other sports such as football:

'He's had a great second half'

or Rugby

'His scrumming days are over'

or Diving

'His tuck has turned into a double pike'

he ran into extra time

maybe boxing?

-he went to the scorecard

-he was saved by the bell

running

-went the extra mile

tennis

- he was rained off

Or bowling - his balls dropped!
Genesis 15: 15 ... go to your fathers in peace ... be buried in a good old age.
He'd tucked his blanks into his blanks:>)
'well, that's that old b*gger out of the way, then'

Had a good run for his (her) money

For all intensive purposes, cricket doesn't exist in the US. Old people die here. Actually most of the people who die here are old. People say all kinds of things in reaction to it.
