To maintain the manufacturers warrantee, you must have the car serviced as per the manufacturers service schedule. These days, spark plugs are good for at least 20,000 miles.
Once my car was out of manufacturers warrantee, my annual service has consisted of taking it to a National motor chain, for oil & oil filter change for 20. My other advice is to buy a foot pump and keep it in the car.

What a load of crap hymie you not have to have it serviced by dealership to keep the warranty valid providing the garage you use a garage that is company and vat registered and your book is stamped at each sevice. I worked for a company that bought approx. 120 Fords a year and with our own workshop facilites do you think we would send them to a dealership for servicing I think not. Check with Which magazine we had no problem with warranty repairs even though we did the servicing. FT
