Taking my two elderly cats away.
4 Answers
We are currently looking into buying a static holiday home where we could go every weekend, but I have two elderly cats and I do not want to leave them so often as they fret. Does anyone have any experience regarding taking cats away into a caravan, will they fret or will they be ok with a litter tray etc and being confined for a couple of days a week.

I know my cats ( one of who is getting into double figures ) would hate being indoors, and would instantly bolt out of the caravan, and probably get lost immediately.
Is there no-one who could mind the cats at home ?
I hope you get some answers from people who have actually taken their cats away in a caravan so that you can make the right decision.

my parents used to take our cat on holiday and i know loads of people do it now too. you could get a proper cat harness and while you are at home take them out in it so they are used to it by the time you get a caravan they will be used to the harness. also you could try a claming remedy to help their nerves when you first go on holiday. but its great fun. you could for the times you want to pop out while on holiday get a dog cage i know alot of people use them so they have control with the cats at all times then.
