is there such a thing as a standard contract for small building works that would cover things like a reasonable size extension.
i am using a builder to carry out an extension in june and i would feel more comfortable with a contract between us rather than a handshake etc.
also do i need extra insurance cover? i know i have to inform my mortgage provider
