My children are called Richard and Christopher. I wanted classic names which people would know how to pronounce and spell (unlike my name!), but which weren't really fashionable, as I didn't want people to be able to guess their age by their name (as will happen with Kylie, Poppy, Kelsey, Paige etc).
I would plead though that whatever name is chosen please, please have the proper spelling. It causes soooooooooooo much trouble for someone to have to constantly spell their name, or to receive birthday cards etc with your name spelt, wrong all their life. Examples I have known have been Lili (instead of Lily), Mathew (instead of Matthew), Cait (instead of Kate).

I'm Megan and my sister is Bronwyn. We live in Essex so she's the only one round here! I wasn't too keen on my name when I was younger but don't mind it now. EXCEPT that its become very popular and now there are loads of Megans around 5 - 8 years old. At least I'll have a young sounding name when I'm old and grey!
My son is Spencer Drew.
mrs_o, I love the name Barney. Not too sure about Prada though.
I know a lady who's just called her daughter Thalia which I think is lovely.
Olivia was the most popular girl's name in England last year, that in itself is enough to put me off. Its a gorgeous name but just too common.
