You've messed up here a bit.
You've just copied out your assignment questions and people have assumed that you're a lazy sod who can't be bothered.
If you'd started by saying something like "I've got this assignment and I'm a bit stuck for ideas - could anyone give me some suggestions" this would probably have grown into a huge thread discussing Enlightenment ideas.
The moral of the story is asking nicely costs nothing and works so much better.
Just a hint though with regards to the foundations of Newton's work you should check out Francis Bacon as well as the more obvious Gallileo
