McNoodle: I am sure there are many people who have kept diaries to write down their thoughts - this is a mistake that you can learn from. There was no need to offend Wiggal with the sugar suggestion.
Lol McNoodle!
He wouldnt try it now! And I know it doesnt, but ah well, we get on great now and love him like my own dad, so its all forgotten about by me (I was a little c** lol!)
NO -its just not OK to slap a 16yr old full stop.
I dont know your parents history but the fact they were both bothered about your sister enough to get into that situation shows they do care. the world is a more dangerous place than even you realise right now and sometimes even good parents do overreact from their own fear and need to protect, and in this case the fear of what their daughter who has already hidden quite serious things from them might have more recently been up to. your sister at her age would have been aware of the fact that hiding the diary would inflame the situation, and should take some of the responsibility for what happened. if she apologises to your parents for hiding the diary and explains it was just private,
then im sure your parents will see her as more responsible and hopefully would apologise for their actions. put it this way if a 16 year old girl was seduced by a man who abused her (more than 2 slaps) and she had written that in her diary that was never checked and she was then butchered by him, what would all the do gooders say about the parents then? i know it wouldn't be " well at least they respected her privacy."
There are times/occasions/reasons when it is appropriate to beat the living tripe out of a son/daugher. Whatever their age. But not allowing/wanting someone to read their diary isn't one of them. Who are you people!!!!!!
sooz07 - I'm glad someone (wiggal) has got a sense of humour...
