A Swedish company that manufactures and sells denim kilts for construction workers in Europe, is planning on distributing them in the UK. This should change the look of building sites all over the country. They are said to be cool in the summer, and warm in the winter. Would any of you men give them a go??? And girls-what do you think?
Forgive me for being a bit dull here but why are you assuming that all the construction workers are male.... ???
I know they often are but I also know there are exceptions to that rule (I've worked on many a construction site and I am definitely female.....well, I've got the sticking out bits up top as evidence !)
OOOOps!! ......sorry juggerling!......it was genuine-I saw it in the Daily Telegraph. Oh!-mamma-are you ok,luv?.....did your moniter go all funny there?-lol
no probs... but it really *ahem substitute suitable alternative swear words* annoys me when it is assumed that all engineers, doctors, bosses, managers etc are men and all secretaries, nurses, cleaners etc etc are women... I have been treated by female surgeons, doctors and dentists and have had known secretaries, cleaners and surveyors!
I think construction workers (the male ones) are pretty sexy....dunno why - maaybe it's the fact they do hard physical work, can be a bit "rough", and sweaty (that's another saga though) ....so yes denim'd be cool but they look prettu good as they are.
it seems that the health and safety aspect of the modern construction industry has been largly overlooked with regards to the dress code here, with the new nailgun culture and the risk of high winds i think this is all going to end in tears
I am in stitches now at the thought of my (male) co-workers being nail-gunned to the scaffolding whilst the high winds are wreaking havoc with their denim... hehe, that will teach 'em to lock the portaloo...
