Is that for a full-time (i.e 40 hours) week? Depends how old you are and what job you are doing I suppose. It's more than minimum wage so it can't be that bad.
The national average is about 470 a week (I think). But that will include super earners and miminaum wage immigrant seasonal strawberry pickers combined.
It is all to do with your life style and needs.
300 pounds a week is better than claiming the dole isn't it?
Pride also plays a big part. I would be more proud scrubbing sh!t from a public toilet than I would claiming the dole.
Depends what your outgoings are. Once you have paid for your mortgage/rent, council tax, etc. and numerous other things that the scroungers dont have to pay, you are probably not much better off than they are. No offence intended to the people who want to work but cant due to ill health, redundancy, etc. that the welfare state was originally intended for.
