Whats the oldest for having kids?

Hi people I would just like an opinion on a issue that has come up between me and my partner. I am 26 and he is 22. I have a child of 4 already from a previous relationship. I want to have completed my family by the time I am 35(max) as my mother died young of breast cancer. My partner, however, doesnt think he will want kids until he is 30 and by then I dont think I will be wanting to have more kids. Im not saying i want a child now as i am in the middle of training to be a nurse. Im thinking when im 29 and hes 25. Any opinions?

if you want children young thats up to you, the same as your boyfriend wanting to wait thats up to him. You cannot force anyone.

can i just ask why your mums death so young means you want to complete your family at an earlier age?
Personally i wanted children before the age of 28, it didnt happen and i had my first at 32 and am expecting my second now at 35.
Plus if you wait until hes 30, you would be 34 and not beyond the maximujm you stated anyway.

I'm going to be 37 very soon and I don't have any kids. I think my body clock is against me.

I would never try to force him. To be fair on him he has said maybe he is just scared as he has never even held a baby and may want one sooner.
My mum dying young is the reason as breast cancer runs in the family and I was 17 when she died and my sister 10. She was 39 when she had my sister. Make more sense now?
Another reason why I want kids younger (btw we want 2 more), and my fella agrees with this reasoning, is because we want to emigrate when the kids are old enough to have a say in where etc and I dont want to be emigrating too late in life.

I wanted my children young and had my 2 daughters when I was just 18
This meant that by the time they grew up I was still young enough to do more with my life
Then when I was 35, I found out I was pregnant again
My son is now nearly 2, and although he was a great shock, I wouldn't have it any other way
This time round I am a single parent as my ex husband didn't want anymore children
So I suppose sometimes things don't always go as planned but I am much more layed back and enjoy my son more than I did when I was so young with my girls

You have all made me think that you cannot put a time on having kids and when the time is right so be it. The main thing is i know i am with the man who loves me more then anything and i have a beautiful and wonderful son.

I was in my late 30s when I started having kiddies with my current partner and now I just cant seem to stop. Triplets next. Yes its unbelievable isnt it?
