What was the childrens comedy that was usually on before Dramarama? It took place in a school with a bunch of school kids (obviously)

The only one which I can think of was Palace Hill. The only character which I can really remember seemed to be a bit of a send up of Prince Charles - he had big ears , was quite proper spoken and wore a crown.Could it be that ?
