I am not aware of instructing a computer to remember a particular password but it is in its memory and signs me onto the site in question automatically (MS Explorer). This machine is accessed by others so I want to remove the password and return to having to enter it every time. How do I achieve this ?

Problem solved - crunching the cookies did it before the second answer came in. Many thanks both, for very concise and useful replies.
