My answer about referring any irregularities to the Probate Registry remains valid but, before you do so, I suggest you get hold of a copy of the will. You can find how to that here:

i am in the process of doing the probate thing,
if you are named as an executor and you wish to keep that responsibility the probate office will want to interview at an office of your choice (they are all over the country) all executors
unless,
you state in writing you do not wish to act.
the probate office require and retain the original will,if you are named as executor you will be able to act to ensure proper conduct in the estates affairs.
executors cannot keep all the money, they swear an oath at the interview to act and distribute the estate as specified within the will,
otherwise they are acting illegally and in contravention of their oath
