Poppy Seed bread

Why have Tesco, Sainsburys and Asda stopped selling bread with poppy seeds on ?

I would imagine it's because not many people were buying it. It's a market driven world I'm afraid.

Poppy seeds were banned by the barmy men in Brussels because it created confusion and people might have thought that they were buying bread containing drugs.

Kanewood and Squarebear are both correct. The poppy seed used by bakers in this country is called Maw Seed.
