Around 10 years ago I had some serious financial problems due to a falling income (after company I was working for was taken over), house falling down, baby born and some bad decisions. I picked up 2 CCJ's and I have been paying 10pm ever since. I don't want to contact the company involved (I doubt I would know where to start), but would I still be liable for the debt if I stopped paying for them?

Hope someone can help

A CCJ is only shown on your credit record for six years,

also a business etc are not allowed to chase a debt that is older than six years

Hope this helps
Robotics is right, but it doesn't stop a creditor persuing the debt. In fact by going back to court you could end up with a new CCJ. That would then cause you considerable more trouble.

Sorry!
It is six years since you last acknowledged the debt in any way - making a payment for example, not from the date of the loan or CCJ.
